Join us for the 3rd Annual Community Fun Run!
Please join us for our 3rd Annual Franklin Woods 5k walk/run, 1 mile walk/run, and family fun run! To sign up for the race, please fill out your contact information. Tickets are FREE, but any and all donations are welcome to help cover costs to put on the event and to support the Franklin Educational Foundation with grants, scholarships and student assistance funding. Family Fun Run will start at 9am 5K walk/run and 1 mile walk/run will start immediately following fun run.
Routes
Kiddie Fun Run
- Start and end at Kayla's, about 50-100 yard dash
1 mile
- START at Kayla's playground and head SOUTH towards S 36th Street
- Turn RIGHT on W Glenwood Drive
- Turn RIGHT on S 42nd Ave and continue through the wooded trail
- Keep RIGHT at the fork and head back towards Kayla's
- END at Kayla's playground
5K
- START at Kayla's playground and head SOUTH towards S 36th Street
- Turn RIGHT on W Glenwood Drive
- Turn RIGHT on S 42nd Ave and continue through wooded trail
- Keep RIGHT at the fork and head back towards Kayla's
- Turn RIGHT at Kayla's to complete this loop TWO MORE TIMES
- END at Kayla's playground
Road Closures
The following streets will be closed for all participant safety from 8:00am-11:00 am.
- West Crest Court
- South 36th Street
- West Glenwood Drive
- West Maplecrest Drive
- South 42nd Street
**Please be advised that driving on these streets during this time will not be possible.
Water Stations-First Aid
There will be two water stations and first aid kits located:
- Starting line (Kayla's Playground)
- Near the intersection of South 42nd St and West Maplecrest Drive
Weather/Cancellation
This event will go on rain or shine. However, if the weather is not allowing for safe running conditions, the event may have to be cancelled. Please pay attention to your email and this website if weather is questionable.
Goodies and Fun
One lucky participant will win a pair of tickets to a Milwaukee Milkman game! Must be present to win!
MATHNASIUM will be supporting the runners by providing all of the water bottles. To learn more about Mathnasium, please check out their website. https://www.mathnasium.com/
Einstein Bros. Bagels will be helping with those post race hunger pains. Please stop by their table for some yummy bagels!
Culver's is also participating in the fun. They are providing custard for all participants!
