Join us for the 3rd Annual Community Fun Run!
Please join us for our Franklin Woods 5k walk/run, 1 mile walk/run, and family fun run! To sign up for the race, each participant/ticket is $10 or $40/family. All financial donations for this event will go to support the Franklin Educational Foundation with grants, scholarships and student emergency funding. Family Fun Run will start at 9am 5K walk/run and 1 mile walk/run will start immediately following fun run.
Routes
Family Fun Run
- Start and Finish at Kayla's playground
1 mile
- START at Kayla's playground and head SOUTH towards S 36th Street
- Turn RIGHT on W Glenwood Drive
- Turn RIGHT on S 42nd Ave and continue through wooded trail
- Keep RIGHT at the fork and head back towards Kayla's
- END at Kayla's playground
5K
- START at Kayla's playground and head SOUTH towards S 36th Street
- Turn RIGHT on W Glenwood Drive
- Turn RIGHT on S 42nd Ave and continue through wooded trail
- Keep RIGHT at the fork and head back towards Kayla's
- Continue RIGHT at Kayla's and complete this loop TWO MORE times
- END at Kayla's playground
Road Closures
The Franklin Police Department is helping us close down S 36th, S 42nd, W Maplecrest, and W Glenwood to ensure everyone's safety. Streets will be closed from 8:00-11:00 am. Please be advised that driving on these streets during this time will not be possible.
Water Stations/First Aid
We have teamed up with MATHNASIUM to provide water bottles for all participants.
There will be two water stations and first aid kits located:
- Starting Line
- Near the Intersection of S 42nd St and W Maplecrest
Cheerleading/Spectators
If you'd like to participate as a spectator/cheerleader, we invite you to watch and cheer on participants from your driveway. Make signs! Use chalk art! Ring cow bells! Shake pompoms! Any and all forms of encouragement are HIGHLY encouraged!
Rain or Shine
Barring a catastrophic environmental event, this event will occur in rain or shine.
If it is clearly unsafe to be outside, communication will be sent via email. Please check your email if weather is questionable.
